OneDrive Integration

Use OneDrive integration to let Dawn discover drives, browse folders, read text files, and search Microsoft file content.

OneDrive can be connected two ways. A workspace owner or manager can connect it as a shared source from the workspace Integrations screen and assign the drives to specific agents. An individual user can also connect their own OneDrive as a personal connection under account settings → My connections, where it stays scoped to that user. Use the workspace path for drives the whole team should reach, and the personal path for your own drive.

Before you start

• A Microsoft account or Entra-backed work account with access to the drives Dawn should use.
• For a workspace connection, the Manager role, which is required to create it.

OneDrive connects through Microsoft sign-in. There is no manual token to manage.

Connecting OneDrive

• Shared workspace source: open the workspace Integrations screen, add a OneDrive connection, complete Microsoft sign-in, then discover and link the drives you want and assign them to the agents that should use them.
• Personal connection: open account settings → My connections, add OneDrive, and complete Microsoft sign-in.

What Dawn discovers

Dawn discovers the drives visible to the signed-in user through Microsoft Graph. Each discovered drive becomes one repository-style source in Dawn.

The runtime is text-focused for reading. It can browse folders, read text files, and search text content, but binary files are not supported. Connected as a personal connection, Dawn can also create, update, and share files in your drive when you have granted those permissions.

Troubleshooting

• Sign-in fails or is cancelled: start the connection again and approve the Microsoft permissions Dawn requests.
• No drives appear: the signed-in account likely does not have access to the expected drives, or the wrong account or tenant was used.
• File read fails on a binary document: the runtime only supports text files for reading.

Validate OneDrive source connectivity and file read access.

Check for expired OneDrive auth and suggest reconnect actions.
